We had a date / service auction for the fraternity Wednesday night. My service was to go work on someone’s computer. So, I dressed the part, and made $15.

I feel for some reason that people and places and things that I was once drawn so strongly to, are slipping out my reach, out of my grasp, and with that, ending some of the finest times of my life. There are certain people that won’t speak to me that much anymore, it’s usually just in passing, nothing really of substance being said. Others have cut me off fully, I haven’t heard from one individual, whom I miss, in over 3 weeks. Still more have distanced themselves from me, and it’s odd, because I do not feel that anyone is truly close to me right now. And believe me, that one or two of you, I would really appreciate you being close. Especially right now.

Two (and a half) small things, before I go to my state of slumber. One, I would like to wish my best to the crew of Bastard Family, for the site has been down now for going on 6 weeks (or more) and there looks to be no signs of a resurrection. It is the end of an era, gentlemen, and I thank you for letting me share in part of it. The second is, that the full blown Road Trippin design is back. I got tired of the mismatch, and I don’t have v3 of the blog ready to go yet, so I pushed the RT CSS sheet back up. The other half of a thing, is to make sure to read the entry below, for the sheer fact that I only put it up an hour ago.

You want to talk about lonely. There’s been sites going down left and right, all around me, and all of the sudden, I am left without my major means of interaction and communication with the many I do business with daily. It’s horrible. First off, my own “ISP” (if you can call my university that) has been up and down more than a French whore on half-off blow job day. It sucks. I mean day in and day out when I wake up or come on from classes, it’s a coin flip to see if my friggin internet will even be working. Then, today, someone decided to run a DOS attack on MSURacers.com. I swear when I find said individual(s) that did this, they shan’t have kneecaps. Another one of my staples, OffTopic is also down tonight, for maintenance, and hopefully the release of the full blown version of OT 8.0. Then, when my host, GlobalLAN did some maintenance over the weekend, it broke part of my site, the part that keeps junk comments out, and it created a mess until today, when I just deleted the info from the database table and reinstalled it. Another one of my online friends, Laura D. decided to host porn off her site for a forum of ~500 simultaneous users. What we had to say betwixt us:
Daniel: Speaking on internets, where’s your site?
Laura – Maybe-not.net: I crashed it with porn.
Daniel: serious?
Laura – Maybe-not.net: Yup. Uploaded about 410 pictures of Jenna Jameson (totallying about 40MB), linked the pics on the forum, and used about 13Gs in about 15 minutes.
Daniel: good call.
I *heart* Laura. Now, I want her to send me the full gallery personally. Too bad I didn’t ask her tonight. (Consider this me asking you, m’dear.) And I think that’s all my offline stories for today. Here’s to hoping mine, and yours’ and the rest of the sites on all the internets stay going strong.

I just realized that somehow, about 2 days ago, my installation of MT-Blacklist got corrupted horribly. I don’t know how it did it, or what caused it to puke like it did, but it did. I don’t know how to fix it either. This has got me all flustered. I had a good entry to write (I think), but now I’m all out of sorts.

Today began the first day of what looks like a long semester coming up for me. However long it may become, it looks like it will be somewhat easier than last semester. And that is what I need. Had a great time at the Ralph F. Burns Leadership Insititute last weekend (yeah, I forgot to tell you people where I had gotten to), and learned alot both about fraternity and what qualities I have as a leader. It gave me a new confidence in my position as PR chair. As for other things, this semester will be okay. I’ll just have to buckle down and get through it. Wish me a little luck. Also, sorry for the gross lack of posting and even less work being done on the new layout. It’s all coming soon. When I find the time.

Well, the road journey on the blog for me is complete. I’m changing things around whenever I can get around to it, but Road Trippin’s days are numbered. And it’s all because this is no longer my car, but this is. Yep, I got a car. It’s a 95 Pontiac Bonneville with a shitload of miles on it. Here is another picture. Well, yeah, this is a sorry excuse for an entry. I’ll write more later.
