Shiny distraction.
So Deezil got the itch and bought some things.
The TV is an AOC Envision L32W761 bought from here.
The receiver is a Onkyo TXSR304S bought from here. The DVD Player is a Phillips DVDP5990 bought from Wal-Mart, specs here.
Hooked it all up this morning the the huge speakers I have, KLH PR-950S, about the only thing I can find is here, and it booms. I love it all.
Lately, I’ve been doing some soul searching, some job searching, and trying to find the best part of life I can have. I recently got what I would consider a substantial raise at work, and while that is nice, it just covers up the things that I am finding that I don’t like about the job. I guess that’s why I’m trying to seek out other employs. I still like the job, but it’s not letting me use my skillset like I want to, and I am afraid that if I don’t find something else, I’m either going to get stuck there, or stuck in the past. And both are career suicide if you aren’t doing what you absolutely love.
In other news, my sister decided that she wanted to go off-roading on Friday. She decided to do this while coming off an interstate off-ramp. The result:

Yeah. Good job, turd head. Glad you’re still okay. I found out when her boyfriend called me at the client site I was at, because I was on top of a friggin’ mountain with no cell reception.
In new shinies coming up, I’m looking at three phones, all of them are smartphones. The first, the BlackJack II from Samsung. After breaking my Nokia 6102i in half at the hinge, I got a free Samsung from my parents, and I love it, so the Samsung is definitely in contention. The second phone, the Blackberry Curve 8310, because I’ve heard cool things coming out of that camp, and Laura loves her Crackberry. The third is the iPhone 3G. Yeah, I know, cliche, but it’s friggin’ cool. And I need an MP3 player, as the one I have doesn’t like anything as far as Linux, and there will be (unofficial) iPhone 3G support for Linux. So I’m still weighing all these and seeing the pros and cons of all 3. Decision probably by July 11th.
Things with the girl are excellent. She’s awesome and she taught me how to make sushi today. Then we went and bought everything that I need to make it myself. Yay for cooking! She’s pretty awesome as far as just being a human. She treats me better than anyone I’ve dated yet, she’s not one that requires a lot, and just all around great.
I’m done typing and searching for links for everything, so just time to hit Post and let WordPress do its usual magic.
